He has competed at the last three Olympic Games and with lifetime bests ranging from 12:56.27 for 5000m to 2:07:47 for the marathon, the Michigan native is a proven competitor on the track and roads. Ritzenhein missed most of the 2014 season through injury and since returning to action, the 32-year-old has eschewed a more cautious approach to training which paid dividends when he finished seventh in the Boston Marathon in April.
